Greenacre sits north-east of Bankstown between Chullora and Punchbowl, a large residential suburb with an industrial area along its northern edge.

Greenacre has been rebuilt more heavily than almost any suburb in the area, and the newer houses are large, with formal and informal living areas that get used very differently. Formal rooms may see a fraction of the traffic of a family room, and cleaning both at the same pass wastes your money on one and short changes the other.
