Our Cleaning Standard

Every job starts with an assessment. We look at the carpet fibre, overall condition, heavily trafficked areas, visible stains, signs of wear and anything else that may affect the cleaning process.

We also talk to you about particular concerns. If you know that a mark is coffee, red wine, pet urine or something else, that information can help us choose the most appropriate treatment. Not every carpet needs exactly the same process, so we don't treat them as though they do.

We carry more than one extraction system because Sydney homes come in every imaginable shape and size. Where access allows, we use our truck-mounted hot-water extraction system. With substantial hose reach, the truck mount can comfortably service ground-floor and multi-storey homes when we can position the van close enough to the property. Upper floors are generally no problem. Hoses can be routed safely through the property or, where appropriate, through an accessible window.

High-rise apartments and large apartment complexes can present a different challenge. Secure basement parking, lifts, common areas and the distance between the van and the carpet can make truck-mounted cleaning impractical. For those situations, we carry a high-performance professional portable extraction system that can be taken directly into the building. This isn't a lightweight domestic or hire machine. It is carpet-cleaning equipment selected specifically so that customers in apartments and difficult-access properties don't have to settle for a lesser standard of cleaning.

The property determines which system we use. The standard of the job doesn't change.

Different fibres, stains and types of soil respond to different treatments. We use professional-grade cleaning solutions from established industry brands, together with specialist spotting products for particular cleaning problems.

Coffee is different from grease. Pet contamination is different from ordinary soil. A heavily trafficked walkway is different from a drink spill. Trying to treat every problem with one generic detergent doesn't make much sense.

Our goal isn't to use the strongest product possible. It is to use the right product, at the right concentration, for the material and problem being treated.

A stain isn't simply a dirty patch of carpet. Where appropriate, individual spots and stains are assessed and treated separately before or during the main cleaning process. The treatment depends on the carpet fibre, what caused the stain, how long it has been there and whether anything has already been applied to it.

Many stains can be removed or significantly improved, but professional cleaning also means being honest about limitations. Sometimes what appears to be a stain is actually bleaching, colour loss, fibre damage or physical wear. If we believe something is permanent, we'd rather explain that honestly than promise a result the carpet cannot deliver.

A large proportion of the material inside carpet is dry particulate soil. Dust, grit, pet hair and fine debris work their way below the visible surface of the carpet pile. This is particularly noticeable in coastal suburbs where sand can be carried indoors, but it happens in every home.

Removing as much loose and embedded dry soil as practical before wet cleaning allows the rest of the cleaning process to work more effectively. Preparation also includes identifying high-traffic areas and applying suitable pre-treatment where required.

Once the carpet has been appropriately prepared and treated, we use hot-water extraction to remove suspended soil, cleaning solution and contamination from the carpet. Depending on the property, this will be carried out using either our truck-mounted system or our professional portable extraction equipment.

The aim is not simply to make the carpet wet. Effective extraction means applying the cleaning process appropriately and then recovering as much soil, solution and residual moisture as practical. Where required, additional extraction passes can be used to help leave the carpet cleaner and promote more efficient drying.

The carpet is only one part of the room. We take care around polished timber floors, skirting boards, painted walls, door frames, stairs, balustrades, furniture, rugs and surrounding finishes while equipment and hoses are being moved through the property.

A carpet clean hasn't been done properly if the carpet looks fantastic but somebody has damaged your home in the process. Attention to detail includes the things that aren't being cleaned.

We are independent and do not use subcontractors. When you contact us, you deal directly with the people who will be carrying out the work. Our reputation is attached to every job.

That means we can discuss your concerns with you, inspect the carpet ourselves, decide what treatment is appropriate on site and take responsibility for the result. There is no call centre handing the job to an unknown contractor and no incentive to rush through as many addresses as possible.

For customers who may be working from home, looking after children, living alone or simply getting on with their day while the cleaning is carried out, that extra reassurance matters.

Professionalism isn't just about equipment. It is also about turning up as expected, communicating clearly, respecting your property and making you feel comfortable with the person working inside your home.

Sometimes professional knowledge means knowing when not to promise something. Cleaning can remove an enormous amount of soil and many stains, but it cannot reverse every form of permanent damage. Sun fading, bleaching, worn fibres and some chemically altered stains may remain even after the carpet itself has been thoroughly cleaned.

If we identify something that is unlikely to respond to cleaning, we'll tell you. We would rather set realistic expectations and deliver a good result than make an impressive promise before the job and an awkward excuse afterwards.
