Carpet Cleaning Balmoral

Balmoral is the harbour beach side of Mosman, running down from Raglan Street to the Esplanade, Edwards Beach and the rotunda. It isn't a gazetted suburb in its own right, but it has a distinct character and everyone who lives there calls it Balmoral, so we list it separately.

The housing is a mix of grand Federation and Californian bungalow houses on the slopes above the beach, many with tessellated verandahs, original hallways and wool carpet laid decades ago, alongside interwar walk-ups and apartments closer to the water.

Sand is the defining problem here. A short walk back from the beach brings fine dry sand into entries, hallways and stair runners, where it works down into the pile and abrades the fibre from below rather than sitting on top of it. Thorough dry vacuuming before any water goes near the carpet matters more here than almost anywhere.

Access varies sharply within a few streets. The Esplanade and the flat ground near the beach are usually straightforward for our truck-mounted system, while the steep streets climbing towards Mosman and the older walk-ups with no lift are often better served by taking the professional portable extraction unit directly inside.

We inspect what is actually there before quoting. Wool in a Federation house and synthetic carpet in a rented apartment are different jobs, and the sand load in a beachside home is a different job again.
