Clovelly's sheltered narrow bay gives it a very different feel from the open surf beaches nearby, and the Geoff James Pool forms part of its distinctive swimming landscape.

Brick semis and bungalows sit along the ridges either side of the bay, with a scattering of low-rise blocks. A good many have the living areas upstairs to catch the view, which puts the bedrooms and their carpet on the lower level.

The carpet challenge is still thoroughly coastal. Sand, wet feet, outdoor grime and balcony traffic gradually collect around entrances and living rooms.

We use professional equipment and products, but we also adapt the setup to the property. An easily accessed home may suit our truck mount beautifully. An apartment several floors above the street may be a perfect job for the professional portable.
