Dural sits at the northern edge of the Hills, a genuinely semi-rural area of acreage properties, nurseries and large homes on generous blocks along Old Northern Road.
Properties here are usually large, often with multiple living areas, formal rooms and outbuildings. Homes on acreage take in a constant amount of dust and dirt from outside, which settles into carpet steadily rather than dramatically.
A good many properties here run nurseries or serious gardens, and that comes indoors. Potting mix and fertiliser are darker and finer than ordinary soil, they mark more readily, and they arrive at the laundry and back doors rather than the front.
Access is generally excellent, so the truck mount does the heavy work. For studios, upstairs rooms and anywhere hoses will not reach sensibly, the portable comes in instead.
