Hills District

Carpet Cleaning Glenorie

Glenorie sits at the far northern end of Old Northern Road, past Dural and Galston, where the Hills stop being suburban and become properly rural.

Blocks here are measured in acres rather than square metres. The houses are large and set well back, often with a stretch of gravel or unsealed drive between the road and the front door, and outbuildings, sheds and paddocks around them.

That unsealed approach is what shows up in the carpet. Gravel dust in summer and mud in winter come in on boots at the back door and the laundry entry, and in a large house it collects in those two or three spots rather than spreading through the whole floor plan.

There is space for the van on every property up here, which suits the truck-mounted system. Where the house sits too far back for a sensible hose run, the portable comes to the door instead.

Glenorie questions

Our driveway is unsealed. Will that make a difference?

To the carpet, yes. Gravel dust is abrasive and it works into the base of the pile, which is exactly the sort of soil hot-water extraction is designed to remove. To the job itself it makes no difference at all.

The house is large. How do you price something like that?

On the actual area and its condition rather than a flat per-room rate, because rooms on a property this size vary enormously. You get the figure before we start.

How far ahead should we book?

Further ahead than you would for a job closer in. Glenorie is at the far end of what we cover, so notice gives us a much better chance of offering you a time that actually suits.
