Padstow is the larger suburb behind the Heights, built around its station and the shopping strip on Padstow Parade, with a light industrial pocket to the north and residential streets running south towards the river.
It is also where Adam bought his first home, a townhouse, so Padstow will always mean a little more to us than most.
Most of the housing is post-war freestanding brick on regular blocks, with units and duplexes filling in closer to the station and the main road.
The station end and the river end behave like different suburbs. Near the line there is constant turnover through the units, while the streets running south hold families who have been there twenty years and have never had the carpet done.
Streets are wide and driveways standard, so the truck mount handles most jobs, with the portable for the unit blocks near the station.
