Ashbury is a small residential suburb between Canterbury and Croydon Park, known for its quiet streets, its interwar housing and the Ashbury shops on Canterbury Road.
The area holds an unusually consistent run of Federation and California bungalows, many with original layouts, timber floors in the front rooms and carpet through the bedrooms and hallway. Older homes often mean tighter access and stairs that were not designed with equipment in mind.
