Carpet Cleaning Collaroy

Collaroy runs along the beachfront below the plateau, a narrow strip of housing between the sand and the escarpment with the highway threading through it.

Older walk-up unit blocks face the beach, many of them from the fifties and sixties, and behind them sit freestanding homes stepping up the slope towards Collaroy Plateau.

Beachfront units take more punishment than most housing. Sand and salt arrive together, holiday and short-stay tenants come and go, and carpet in a front unit works harder in a year than an inland home's does in three.

The beachfront blocks are a portable extraction job. The houses climbing the slope behind them suit the truck mount.

Collaroy questions

We let the unit out over summer. How often should the carpet be done?

Between tenancies where you can, and at least at the end of the season. Sand left in the pile is abrasive and grinds the fibre every time someone walks on it.

Can you get salt residue out?

Extraction removes what is sitting in the pile. Where salt has been in soft furnishings for years there can be lasting effects on the fibre, and we will tell you if that is what you are looking at.

Is there parking for your van along the beachfront?

Sometimes tight, particularly in summer. We work off the nearest practical spot, and we bring the portable where hose from the street is not sensible.
