Carpet Cleaning Oatlands

Oatlands sits above Parramatta around the golf course, a quieter and more established suburb of larger homes on generous blocks, with a good deal of tree cover through the streets.

Houses here are substantial, often two storey, with formal rooms that see little use and living areas that see all of it. Wool carpet is more common in this kind of home than in the surrounding suburbs.

Wool needs different handling to synthetic. It holds more water, reacts badly to the wrong chemistry, and has to come out at a controlled moisture level rather than simply being flushed hard and left.

Long driveways are standard here, which makes this straightforward truck mount territory.

Oatlands questions

How do you treat wool differently?

We check the fibre first, use chemistry suited to it, and keep tight control of how much moisture goes in. Over-wetting is what causes problems with wool, not cleaning itself.

The formal lounge is barely used. Does it still need cleaning?

Less often, but dust settles regardless of foot traffic and will dull the pile over time. We are happy to do the used rooms more frequently and the formal rooms occasionally.

Do you clean upholstery in the same visit?

Yes, and it often makes sense. Lounges collect body oils and dust that vacuuming will not lift.
