Carpet Cleaning Pennant Hills

Pennant Hills is an established suburb on generous blocks, with bushland reserve along much of its eastern and southern edges and a small shopping centre at the station.

The older houses here are substantial, many with wool carpet in the formal rooms that has been down a long time and looked after well. Around the station there are apartments and townhouses of more recent vintage.

Wool behaves differently from synthetic and has to be treated that way. It holds more water, it is sensitive to the wrong chemistry, and it can be permanently damaged by heat and aggressive detergents. We identify the fibre before we start rather than after.

Driveways are long and the truck mount is our usual setup. Portable extraction covers the apartments and the units behind the shops.

Pennant Hills questions

How do I know whether my carpet is wool?

It is not always obvious by eye, particularly with a wool-blend. We check on site before anything is applied, because the cleaning method and the drying time both change depending on the answer.

Will wool carpet take longer to dry?

Yes, noticeably. Wool holds more moisture than synthetic, so plan on a longer window and keep the room ventilated. We control how much water goes in with that in mind.

Do you clean rugs as well as fitted carpet?

Yes. Rugs are worth treating separately from the carpet underneath them, especially wool ones, and we will tell you if a rug is better done off site.
