Carpet Cleaning Thornleigh

Thornleigh sits between the Pacific Highway and the railway, with the land falling away east towards the bushland along Zig Zag Creek.

The housing is a genuine mix. Federation homes with deep verandahs front the older streets, post-war brick fills in behind them, and pockets of newer townhouses have appeared near the station.

Backing onto bush has a cost indoors. Leaf litter, bark and fine grit come in on shoes and settle at the doorways and along the main walking line, and on a sloping block the wear concentrates wherever the stairs meet the living area.

Most of these blocks have a driveway with room for the truck mount. The portable comes out for the townhouses and for anywhere the fall of the land makes a hose run impractical.

Thornleigh questions

We back onto bushland and the carpet near the back door is always dark. Can that be fixed?

Usually yes. That darkening is soil and fine bark tracked in and packed into the pile, not a stain in the fibre, and extraction lifts most of it. A barrier mat inside the back door slows how fast it comes back.

The house is on a slope with several levels. Does that make it harder?

No. We run hose from the truck through the house, and split levels are common enough around here that it is routine. Where the fall is severe we use the portable instead.

Do you clean the older Federation homes on the highway side?

Yes. Those often have carpet laid over boards rather than a slab, so we control how much moisture goes in and work in more passes with less water.
